THE FINISHING TOUCH

Secret Brightening Powder // Translucent Loose Setting Powder // Camouflage Powder Brush // Infusion de Rose Lip Balm //All In Good Taste Book

I’ve found that during the holiday party season, it’s those finishing touches that really make all the difference. There are three things that I like to call “the finishers” in my beauty routine: the Secret Brightening PowderTranslucent Loose Setting Powder, and the Infusion de Rose Lip Balm. The latter was a quick addiction: it’s sheer balm that adds just the right amount of moisture and it smells heavenly. What’s not to love? The powders, on the other hand, took some experimenting. Here’s what you need to know…

I’m fairly new to using powders. Since I’m a fan of the glowy look, I always thought that powders would make my face look too matte – dull the glow. It turns out that’s not the case. In fact, they actually work to highlight the glow even more. The Secret Brightening Powder is now my under-eye savior. After I apply concealer, I dip my brush into the powder (note: a little goes a long way with this stuff) and then lightly press it under my eyes. It sets my concealer which makes it last so much longer, all with an added ‘brightening boost’. The same goes for the Translucent Loose Setting Powder. I use it all over my face post-tinted moisturizer. It sets the tinted moisturizer, without appearing cakey at all. (Not to mention, it’s applied via rolling motion with this velour pouf that kind of feels amazing on my face.)  When all is said and done, it’s super lightweight and I hardly feel like I’m wearing makeup at all.

There you have it: there can’t-leave-the-house-without-them products that are certainly essentials during the holiday festivities, but will be favorites well after party season is over.
