Spring and summer shopping is always my favorite. I much prefer browsing for tunics and sandals to heavy coats and boots. There’s only one exception to this: swimsuit shopping. It’s not always so fun. Finding a good suit that checks all the right boxes (comfort, fit, quality…) can be daunting – not to mention nearly impossible sometimes. That’s why when I find a suit I love, I almost always buy it in multiple colors. This year, however, the unthinkable happened: I’ve managed to find not one, not two but three suits that I really, really love. They’re all from Zinke and they’re all fantastic.
I started with the “Reese” bandeau. I stuck with my safety net and ordered the black. I wore it so much in Harbour Island though that as soon as I returned I decided to branch out and ordered the stripe. (Next up? The light blue!) My second favorite suit is the “Taylor” underwire top. Since I already owned the stripe bottom (I went with the “Sammie” style there), I opted for the stripe underwire top – sort of a two-for-one, right? That’s perhaps my favorite part about this line: everything is mix-and-match. If you love a certain color or print then buy one bottom and multiple tops for it. (Not only that, Zinke also offers a reversible suit! That’s a serious two-for-one.) My third suit is my most recent purchase: the “Andi.” Since I had such good luck with Zinke’s bikinis, I figured a one-piece was worth a try. You probably won’t be surprised to learn that I went with the stripe. It’s got a sporty-chic look to it – like a modern-day Gidget! (I’m considering the “Starboard” style one-piece next. I seem to really like the ruffle styles these days. It adds some feminine flair. Plus: the ruffle is removable. Love that.)
