ice cream 2

… for ice cream! If I had to choose just one dessert to eat for the rest of my life, it would be ice cream. No question. I don’t even need time to think about it. Some people are cake people. Not me. Icing has never really been my thing, and cupcakes just don’t do it for me. When I was a kid, my birthday cakes were really for the other children. I always went straight for the ice cream. Ice cream is my thing. Vanilla is my flavor of choice. I’m not a chocolate person. (Does that make me boring? No way.) That’s not to say I don’t like some form of chocolate in my ice cream – mainly in the form of candy. For example, my all-time favorite thing in the world is a Dairy Queen M&M Blizzard. Vanilla ice cream with a really good topping is my go-to. There are other flavors I love, too: salty caramel (you can’t beat Jeni’s), cookies & cream, mint chocolate chip.

Since I love it so much, I make it a point to be knowledgeable on all the best spots. And not just in Dallas. (Though for the record, it’s CoolHaus. I also love Wild about Harry’s. The chop up in the M&Ms for my concrete. It’s the most amazing thing. Ever.) I like to keep a list of the best creameries around so when I travel to different spots, I can visit such places. Tory Burch’s latest blog post provides an excellent list. It covers her favorite creameries from Princeton, New Jersey to Cape Town, South Africa. The only one on there I’ve had is Jeni’s, so it gives me plenty of new spots to consider. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Tory’s list got me thinking about all the other delicious spots I have yet to learn about. That’s where you all come in. I want to know your favorite ice cream spot! And the flavor (or flavors) you order when you get there. I’ll add them all to my list.
