skincare splurgesLA MER The Refining Facial Scrub // ELIZABETH ARDEN Prevage Serum // KANEBO SENSAI Intensive Recovery Concentrate for Eyes

I’ve told you all that when it comes to my skincare regimen, I keep things really simple. I hate having way too many products (especially when a lot of them do the same thing). Putting the right one product on your skin is way more important than three or four products that are just okay.  Sometimes people think that more is better – a serum, a moisturizer, a night cream… – but it really just makes it more complicated. Quality over quantity is my rule when it comes to skincare.

Simplicity doesn’t mean I skimp on my products though. While I have plenty of favorites that came straight from the drugstore (like this), there are just some things that are worth the extra dollars. Like La Mer Soft Cream. It’s one of the newer versions of Crème de La Mer and it’s amazing. It really is. But it’s not inexpensive. (The good news is that a little bit goes a long way, so the jar will last you quite awhile.) It’s worth it though. I think you have to figure out what works for your skin – the products that you can save on, and the ones that are worth ponying up for. For me, these are the three that are really give me some bang for my buck.

Now that I’ve told you mine, tell me yours! I would love to know.
