It’s been one holiday party after another around here. I’ve been donning my merriest wear – plenty of feathers (this was a great buy), touches of red, and loads of sparkle. Last weekend, though, I decided I needed just a brief respite from all my festive favorites and went with an all-white look instead.

I’ve always loved a winter-white ensemble. I think the trick to making it work is all in the mix – combining different shades of white and playing around with various textures. I have a massive collection of ivory knitwear (including this one that I wore three times last week!) so that’s usually my starting point. If I’m going for something polished, I’ll put on a pair of off-white wool pants and a pair of heels. Or, for something casual, I’m all about wearing bright white jeans (that Labor Day rule doesn’t apply anymore) and finishing it off with these flats or my favorite pair of Superga sneakers. Light and bright, this look was just the palette cleanser I needed to get me back in my holiday brights.
