As I mentioned last week, I really do love to dress for a theme – and Fourth of July, well, it’s one of the best ones. With the holiday just a short week away, I’m thinking in red, white, and blue. The good news: there’s no shortage of options. From dresses to swimsuits, I’ve seen so many adorable things that would be perfect for the Fourth of July – not to mention, any other day this summer, too.

Depending on where you’ll be on the Fourth of July, your red, white and blue ensemble can go a number of different directions. If you’re headed to the beach, scoop up a swimsuit from Solid and Striped. They’ve mastered the sporty-chic look and have so many cute ones (love this bikini and this one-piece) in America’s colors. Top it off with a coverup (maybe this one or this one?) or a pair of these adorable shorts from Lemlem. Another idea if you’re spending your day by the water would be this ruffle one-piece worn as top with this eyelet skirt or a pair of denim shorts. For evening, breeze around in this ric-rac number (now on sale!) or this $99 one-shoulder LWD. Either one would make a perfect pairing for these cute polka-dot slides (also available in blue !) from Tabitha Simmons.

For those who are city-bound on the Fourth, how about your favorite pair of denim and one of these oh-so-perfect striped tees? For a night-out, sub out the t-shirt for this one-shoulder striped top. How cute is that? If you prefer to keep it simple and go with all-white (this top and this dress are both under $100!), just use your accessories to get in your red, white, and blue – think: this striped pouch from Clare V., a pair of striped espadrilles ($54!) or this mini scarf (tie it in your hair!). And, as always, a pair of statement earrings always does the trick. Need a festive pair? See here, herehere, and here.
