I wish I had longer eyelashes. Brigitte Bardot-esque, you know what I mean? It’s not that my eyelashes are horribly short, but they’re just meh. Nothing special. They don’t have the natural thickness or fullness to warrant the no-mascara look. (Have you seen Molly’s lashes? I have major eyelash envy there. Check out her tips.) I’ve used the lash tabs for parties in the past and they’re a game changer. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time or patience to apply those things every day. This means I’ve got to have a really good mascara. I used Prescriptives “False Eyelashes” for the longest time. It’s really good, but I started noticing that it was irritating my eyes (anyone else have this problem?). So, over the past couple of months, I’ve been on the hunt for a new one. I took home a lot of samples from different beauty counters – Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Trish McEvoy – and none of them were quite right. I found that they weren’t providing that boost (volume, people!) I wanted, and a lot of them were smudging by mid-day (don’t you hate that black smudge you get right below your brow?). I also can’t stand it when they’re too clumpy. You know what I’m talking about there. Last week, however, I finally found the one. With a perfectly thick brush, Armani’s Eyes to Kill mascara delivers long, thick lashes in one swoop. There’s no clumping. No smudging. And no irritation at all. With minimal effort, you get those almost-Bardot lashes. Count me in.

Are there any others I should test out? Tell me your favorites!

(Note: This post probably sounds like an ad for Armani mascara. It’s not. When I find a good thing, I just like to share it with everyone!)
