Finally! Cool(ish)weather! Last weekend finally felt like fall. The mornings were pure bliss – clear and sunny with just the right amount of chill. In other words: perfect for a bike ride. Since it wasn’t quite cold enough for my new puffer, I topped of my sweater with this vest. The term “sweater vest” always makes me laugh. It brings to mind images of my middle school science teacher (think: Mr. Belding but with glasses). This Patagonia is my version of the sweater vest. It happens to be one of my oldest (I’ve had it for nearly three years) and most favorite things. It was a last-minute purchase before a trip to Colorado. I had no idea at the time that it would become one of the best little things in my closet. It’s so lightweight but, thanks to a fleece lining, it’s surprisingly warm. It’s the perfect topper to a sweater, and I love that it’s not bulky so it can easily be layered underneath a coat. To sum it up: it’s my answer to Texas’ notoriously in-between weather.
