I’m baaack! I returned from Europe at the end of last week (see a few snaps from the trip here) and despite wishing the trip would never end, it does feel good to be home. I spent the past weekend recovering from a serious case of jet lag, snuggling with Lucy, and trying to get my life organized. That last part included unpacking – a lot of it.
Whenever I’m unpacking from a trip, I sort of make a mental scorecard for how “well” I did, a tally of the things I should and should not have packed. Sometimes I do better than others. I’m happy to report that this time the “should not” list was far shorter than usual – but not entirely empty. For example, that third pair of Ancient Greek sandals? Shouldn’t have packed those. I didn’t need them. And this “just-in-case” sweater? No. I never even pulled it out of my bag. On the other hand, this skirt was a good idea because I was able to wear it with a t-shirt for a day of exploring the town and then again as a coverup over this swimsuit to lunch.
The majority of the “should” list though, was a bevy of dresses like this one I’m wearing here from LoveShackFancy. I never ever regret packing these kinds of breezy dresses. They’re versatile and so easy-peasy – just throw one on with a pair of sandals and out the door you go. My personal favorites included this one (so light and perfect for Italy’s warm weather), this eyelet style, and this chambray one (worked as both a day dress and a coverup!). While I definitely overpacked (I always do), I’m giving myself a pat on the back for packing those numbers because they made getting dressed such a cinch.
On a separate travel note, I have a question for you all. What do you all want to know about this trip? After receiving quite a few emails with questions about the details (my favorite restaurants, tips on where to stay, and so on), I’m wondering if it’s something that’s worthy of a post. Thoughts?

Definitely post worthy! I’m planning a trip to Italy and would love to know your favorite places to stay, restaurants, activities, etc!
This is such a beautiful look!

We were in Italy at the same time (and one of my best friend’s was at the same wedding as you!) so it was fun to see your photos. Would love to hear anything and everything about your trip!
Absolutely! Love hearing about your chic travels and dreaming up my next vacation!
An overall trip recap would be amazing! It looked like so much fun 🙂
It is always fun to hear about your favorite places to eat or where you found fun stuff. It is also great how you got the restaurant or shop. Was it recommended or did you just walk by and decide to walk in?
I’d love to know your thoughts on good walking shoes for the London portion of the trip. I’m always on the lookout for nice-looking but not painful shoes aside from tennis shoes to where while traveling in Europe.
Thank you Bradley any shopping and “must” shops please!
Yes! Please do a post on the trip. Where you stayed, shopped, dined, etc. I head out to Italy/France in 2 weeks. You always look so chic. I am also interested in your “walking shoes” and your day bag and what you carried around. Also did you take a panama style hat? If so any tips for transporting it (carry it on, pack it?)
Please post the trip deats! It’s always so nice to get recommendations from a trusted source.
