This weekend was cold. Really cold. It snowed on Friday, and the temperatures didn’t rise above 35 degrees until Sunday. (Yes. I realize that the majority of the country was dealing with much cooler temperatures. However, this is about as wintery as it gets around here.) This meant a lot of time was spend inside, tackling the to-do list, catching up on some shows, and, of course, watching the Golden Globes. (Can we talk about those for a second? Best dressed: Mille Bobbie Brown, Viola Davis, and Emma Stone. Worst dressed: SJP. Best speech of the entire night: Ryan Gosling. Because obviously.)
I did manage to venture out on Sunday for a movie (La La Land! Yes. It’s as good as everyone says it is.) and when I did, I piled on the layers (this J.Crew parka remains one of my best buys) and pulled on my over-the-knee boots. While my ankle boots (these are still my all-time favorites) get tons of wear, my over-the-knee pairs don’t hit the pavement quite as often, making them all the more special when they do. I have a couple of different pairs (I recently scored this black pair on sale), and pulling one on always makes braving the winter weather a little more fun. I’ve come across so many great pairs this season and, thanks to all the great sales happening, a lot of them are now marked down. (This pair is now 60% off!) If you’re looking for a pair to score on sale, be sure to check out these, these, these, these, these, and these.
