When it comes to my daily shoe wear, I’m a flats girl. As much as I love a good pair of heels, they’re just not practical for me as I spent most of my days running around town for work. A girl’s got to be comfortable. My flats consist of three different kinds: ballets (these and these currently), sandals, and smoking slippers. Let’s focus on the last one.

For me, there’s no better pair of smoking slippers than those that come from Stubbs & Wootton. I pretty much live in these shoes. They’re the most classic and they never go out of style. Plus they’re super comfortable, and I love the witty and playful designs they come up with. So, you can imagine my delight when I found out that one of my favorite shoe lines is collaborating with one of my favorite illustrators. Remember Happy Menocal? That’s the one. Let’s just call it one of the best collaborations ever. Available for pre-order on Moda ‘Operandi, the finals product is even better than I imagined: Happy Menocal’s illustrations add the perfect amount of wit and whimsy to the timeless slippers. Where else will you find a pair with Steak Frites? Or a Breakfast of Champions? How fun…!

Here’s the best part: there are five different pairs of bespoke slippers that you can personalize. Add your initials (B.A.M. for me!) or any three-letter combo of your choosing. Once you choose your crest (this one and this one are my two favorites), place your order, and someone from the Moda ‘Operandi team emails you with a request for your personalization. Easy as that. I know this because I already ordered mine.

The collection is only available until March 2nd. In other words: Run. Don’t walk.
