KAYU “Hola” Clutch // J.CREW Earrings // REBECCA DE RAVENAL Earrings

For the most part, I keep my looks fairly simple. I wear a lot of black and white and basics (read: lots of striped tees) make up the majority of my wardrobe. This is especially true during spring and summer. I have a very less-is-more mindset and rely on easy-breezy dresses (just scored this one for $123) and a lot of white denim to get me through the warm-weather months. I count on the accessories to give my outfits that needed punch. While a fun pair of colorful sandals definitely does the trick, it’s usually the jewelry that I turn to first. Think: statement earrings.

A great pair of earrings is the quickest way to spice up even the most basic outfit. At this point, I’ve amassed quite a collection and I’m always on the hunt for new ones. My most recent obsession is the Les Bon Bons earrings from Rebecca de Ravenal. It was like putting candy in front of a baby when these became available. (I have them in three colors and would be lying if I said I hadn’t considered buying more.) They’re surprisingly lightweight and the perfect finisher to a look. The same can be said of Oscar de la Renta’s tassel earrings. They come in so. many. colors and I want all of them. They’re definitely pricey but I wear them so often (I wear this black pair to nearly every cocktail party) that I consider them a worthy investment.

(Side note: speaking of investments, have you seen these? Swoon.)

When I’m looking for a good deal, my first stop is always The Outnet. You can score some amazing things on there for such good prices. They have a great KJL section (these are $40!), and I’ve even managed to snatch up some Oscar earrings for 50% off. My other favorite spots for budget-buys are J.Crew, Barneys Warehouse (while writing this post I snatched these for $59), Bauble Bar, and H&M (check out this pair for $13.)
