When it comes to Valentine’s Day, there are two camps of people: those who love it and those who totally despise it. Which camp are you in?
It’s no secret that I’m part of the first group. I’ve always been a fan of Valentine’s Day – and not just because my favorite color combination just so happens to be pink and red (though I’m sure that’s part of it). I think the real reason I’ve always considered the holiday a favorite is because I’ve always seen it for exactly what it is: a celebration of love – in all of its forms. Whether I was in a relationship or not, I never associated Valentine’s Day solely with romantic love (that’s too much pressure), but rather just love itself – self love (treat yourself to a night on the couch with this face mask and these pajamas!), love for your family, love for your dog (Hi, Lucy!), and, of course, love for your friends. Why not surprise your BFF with a new lip balm ($15!) or treat your favorite co-worker to coffee? Or why not just go all out and host a fabulous Galentine’s dinner? (For those of you taking part in the latter, check out this guide. There’s all kinds of great tips.) Spread the love this week.
