If there’s one gift that works for almost everyone on your list, it’s something monogrammed. I’ve always loved adding that personal touch but this season, I’m finding myself doing it more than ever.
My favorite things to personalize are really those everyday items that get used all.the.time. The things that are super basic but thanks to a monogram or some other customized detail, all of the sudden become extra special. Example numero uno: this bag! Talk about functional. This tote is easily one of my most-used bags in my closet. It’s sturdy (you wouldn’t believe the amount of things I’ve carried in there) and the size is perfect – roomy enough to work as an overnight bag, but not so large that it can’t be used as an everyday carryall. I’m buying one for my college-aged cousin to use as a book bag, but it would also be a great gift for moms on-the-go or frequent-flyer friends.
Another idea that falls into that same use-it-all-the-time category: striped tees. You all know how much I love my striped t-shirts – especially the ones from Saint-James. The only thing that can make them better? A monogram. I actually used to take mine to this little shop to have my initials embroidered on the chest but now I just order them from Tucknernuck. They have several monogram styles to choose from along with a variety of thread colors (I like red or navy!). I’ll be wrapping up one of those (along with a pair of these!) for my little sister.
One more thing that’s definitely worthy of the personal touch: pajamas! Not only is this nightshirt a tried-and-true classic, but it’s under $100, making it a great gift for just about any gal on your list. Adding a red monogram to this one would make for very cute Christmas pajamas.
