MY FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT IN LONDON

Whenever I do my weekly Q&A feature on Instagram, one of the topics that most frequently pops up is travel tips. With that in mind, I’ve decided to make more of an effort to share my personal favorites (restaurants, shops, activities…) in various cities to which I’ve traveled. If you have specific cities you would like for me to cover, I’d love to know. Please leave your request in the comments.

Today’s agenda: London. Oh, how I adore London! It definitely makes the short list when it comes to my favorite places to travel. In fact, when asked where I would move abroad, I always say London. There’s just so much to love about the city – the people, the history (The Queen, hello!), the shops, and, of course, the food. In the past, London food has gotten a bad wrap – but that’s just not at all the case. There are so many amazing, delicious meals to be had there – and contrary to popular belief, it’s not all fish and chips.

Here, a few of my go-to spots to dine while in London.

Gymkhana – Love Indian food? Gymkhana is the place for you. This restaurant hits all the marks: great ambience, excellent service, and, most importantly, delicious food.

Casa Cruz – This Argentinian restaurant is a new addition to my list of favorites. The food is unique and really delicious. It’s a great option for a late dinner, but I really love it for Sunday lunch before cruising through Notting Hill for the afternoon.

Le Petite Maison – This restaurant puts a modern spin on French classics. Everything here – including the ambience – is fresh. It’s a great option for lunch or dinner.

Scott’s – Located in the heart of Mayfair (just around the corner from The Connaught), Scott’s is a true classic. It’s my favorite spot for an elegant dinner with friends or family. The menu offers a variety of delicious options and the service is spot-on.

Daphne’s – This Italian favorite is a great choice for a light lunch or a pasta-filled dinner. It’s located near great shopping and walking distance to the V&A Museum.

Chiltern Firehouse – I never go to London without stopping for at least one meal at Chiltern Firehouse. I love everything about this place – the cozy atmosphere (perfect lighting!), the service, and, of course, the food. It’s impossible to have a bad meal here.

Other favorites: Lyle’s Ottolenghi, Spring, Sexy Fish, Frenchie, Sketch
