MY FAVORITE KIDS’ CLOTHING SHOPS

One of the questions I get asked most frequently on Instagram is where I like to shop for George. For the longest time, I really had no answer. My knowledge of baby and children’s stores was very limited, to say the least, and, let’s be honest, boys really get the short end of the stick when it comes to cute clothes, making it even more difficult.

It’s taken me a minute but I now have a solid list of go-to favorites and I’m here to share them with you. From the best place to score pajamas to my go-to for special occasions, this list covers them all. As always, please share your own favorites in the comments.

Lake – When it comes to pajamas, Lake makes the best ones. Period. I love them for myself just as much as I love them for George. Not only is the quality great, but they are super soft and only get softer with every wash. He has this set in nearly every single color.

Maisonette – This store has it all – gear, toys, feeding essentials, you name it. When it comes to the clothing, they really have an amazing edit. What I really love about Maisonette is that it’s a place of discovery. I’m always finding new brands here.

Beaufort Bonnet Company – Finding pants that actually fit George has been such a challenge so I was thrilled when I discovered the Sheffield pants from Beaufort fit him perfectly. I’ve since become a fan of their adorable bubbles, button-ins (just ordered this one for Easter), and sunsuits.

Minnow – Minnow has totally nailed it with their swimsuits for both boys and girls. I mean, look at these little swim shorts! I especially love that they offer coordinating rashguards.

La Coqueta – George lives in play clothes most of the time but when the day calls for something “dressier,” it’s usually something from La Coqueta that he’ll be wearing.

Primary – My go-to for the best basics. I buy their leggings for George in bulk.

Zara – I love Zara for George just as much as I do for myself. Their kids’ section has great basics (their three-pack of tees are under $20) that are affordable and adorable.

Cadets – The newest addition to my shopping list for George, Cadets is all shorts, shorts, shorts. Not only are they seriously adorable (love this pair), but they are comfortable and fit perfectly. This will be a go-to for spring and summer.

Fripipou – This Etsy shop has a really wonderful selection of vintage clothing items for babies and children. The selection is small but updated frequently.

Dondolo – A local favorite! Every single thing from Dondolo is unique and feels special. I am obsessed with their pieces for little girls (look at this!), and for boys, I really love their bubbles. This local favorite of mine offers unique and special things for boys and girls alike.

Smallable – This European shop covers all of the categories for babies and children. It’s perfectly curated.

Bonpoint – This European brand really has the cutest things. It’s a great option for special occasions, and though definitely pricey, they have really great sales.

Janie and Jack – With a leaning towards preppy, this shop is great when I’m looking for clean and classic. For boys, think: button-down shirts, twill shorts, and driving shoes; and for girls, it’s cozy jackets, adorable jumpsuits, and fun accessories like these cat-eye sunnies.

Other favorites: Little English, Gap, Hanna Anderson, Oeuf, The Tot, Bitte, Cygnet Child.
