Whenever a new season rolls around, I always take it as an opportunity to refresh my denim selection. I take stock of what I have, evaluating which pairs are getting the most wear and which ones might need to be retired. The answer to the former is most certainly my “Benny” jeans from Khaite. These high-waisted jeans have been my favorites for sometime and are sticking around for another season (or forever). They hit all the right notes for me. I don’t exactly have long legs so I’m always after a cropped style and these hit in just the right spot at my ankle, making them wearable with both flats and heels. I also love that they’re not stretchy, but they’re also not super rigid either. I love then so much that I also have them in this ivory shade, which I’m planning on wearing with all sorts of cozy sweaters (this one!) this fall.
So I have my high-waisted pair covered, but there’s plenty of other styles I’m looking to add to my selection. First up: a new pair of these skinny jeans. I love them because they’re super fitted (read: stretchy) and ideal for pairing underneath boots (including this knee-high pair I just bought!). I have this skinny style in several colors (including black) and I’d like to add the dark navy to the mix. I’m also a big fan of straight-leg jeans. I’ve tried several different pairs, but two have emerged as the clear winners: Frame’s “Le Nouveau” style and the “Jordi” from Reformation. The latter is a new find for me. They’re sit higher on the waist than the Frame pair and have a more rigid texture. Bonus: they’re under $150!
