LATELY

RED CARTER Jumpsuit // LOEFFLER RANDALL Sandals (under $150!)

Most dogs go for the shoes (yikes!) but thankfully, Lucy isn’t one of them. As you can see in this photo, she’s much more interested in my socks. Over the last year, she’s managed to sneak more socks than I can count out of my laundry basket. She doesn’t rip them up. She doesn’t even really chew on them for very long. She just takes them and hides them in various little spots around the house. And as annoying as this little habit can be at times (I found a sock in the middle of my front yard last week), it always makes me laugh. It’s something I’m surely going to miss over the next couple of weeks while I’m out of town. This brings me to my next thought: am I the only who finds it incredibly difficult to leave their dogs at home while on vacation? I’ve been anxious about it for weeks. Have I become a crazy dog lady? (The answer is obviously yes.)

I’ve purchased a number of great Loeffler Randall sandals over the years (most recently these), however none as comfortable as these silver slides. I’m not sure what makes these stand out but I think it has to do with the knot. It provides cushion, making them easy to wear all. day. long. I’ve mentioned to them to you all before, but the fact that they’re on major sale today (under $150!) seemed like it was worth a second shout out.

One of the trickiest things about next week’s trip to Africa has been the packing restrictions. There’s a weight limit which means there’s really no room for extra stuff. I’ve had to be strategic in all areas – including toiletries. I’ve found it difficult to locate travel-size versions of a lot of products. However, what I did find instead were these genius little beauty kits from Net-a-Porter. There are several different options (I bought this one) but each one is an edited selection of the best beauty buys – all in travel-friendly sizes. Not only are they ideal for frequent fliers (great gifts, too!), but they’re also a great way to test out products before buying.

My favorite steal this month: this easy-breezy dress. Under $100? Yep!

I’ve added another podcast to my weekly lineup: In the Lime Light. Hosted by two of Vanity Fair‘s senior editors, it’s essentially a chit-chat where they dissect and analyze the latest entertainment and celebrity headlines. But the best part is that they’re as obsessed as I am with all things royal – especially Meghan Markle. She makes the podcast every single time. If you’re in need of a weekly dose of pop culture, this is where to find it.

If you’re following me on IG then you’ve probably seen these delightful little treats pop up in my stories. The company is called Orderves and the whole deal is that you can order gourmet frozen appetizers delivered straight to your door. They arrive freshly made and – key – with heating instructions. Most importantly, they’re delicious. (Try the ham biscuits!) As someone who loves to entertain, these have been a game-changer for me. If I decide to have friends over last-minute, I no longer find myself scrambling to put together some sort of cheese and cracker situation. tip: order a bunch at once and just keep them in your freezer until you’re ready to eat.

Who else is counting down until the Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga movie comes out? The trailer is magical.

Just as I’m easing into summer, Moda Operandi has me jumping forward to the holidays. The Delfi Collective trunk show they just launched is simply too good. Sparkles, touches of red, and plenty of feathers (this dress!) – this collection is pretty much my ideal holiday party wardrobe.

As always, I’ll end it with a nugget of wisdom.
