Happy Friday! The first week of March was a busy one. I kicked it off with a friend’s wedding in South Texas (so. much. fun.) and then wrapped it up with an exciting night at Neiman Marcus. Last night, I was honored to interview Valerie Steele, director and chief curator of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Valerie was in town to promote her latest book: Fashion Designers A-Z. If you haven’t already checked out the tome, you most definitely should. It’s such a gem. Not only is the content amazing, but, with six different designer covers, it will easily be the best looking book on your coffee table. I had originally planned to wear a dress, but, as it goes with most public speaking events, I got a little nervous before and changed my whole outfit. I opted for this simple black and white look instead. I hardly ever wear one designer head-to-toe, but that wasn’t the case last night. The top and pants are both by a new-to-me line called Co (Anyone else heard of them?) I discovered it at Forty Five Ten a couple of weeks ago and I’m totally smitten. Each piece is so well tailored – not to mention, so comfortable. This is definitely a line I’ll be keeping my eye on.
