This past weekend, I got my first dose of winter weather: a snowy 48-hours in the mountains to celebrate a friend’s wedding. It was climate change to be sure (we went from Dallas’ 48-degree-days to mornings in the single digits), and I enjoyed most of it bundled up next to a warm fire with a hot drink. (When I did venture outside, I was layered up in a parka, boots, and my thickest knit scarf – and none of it was quite warm enough, mind you). While the weather was truly beautiful (seeing the snow really puts you in the holiday spirit!), I was grateful to return home yesterday to sunny skies and a temperature that allowed for just a cozy sweater and jeans – plus some neon, too! I’m a warm-weather girl at heart, after all.
