Tatcha. Heard of it? If not, I’m here to fill you in. (By the way, this post is no way sponsored. I just really love the brand.) I’ve been using Tatcha products for about eight weeks now and I’m totally obsessed. My skin is brighter, softer and more moisturized than it’s been in a very long time. I’m also certain that it’s responsible for making my skin look less inflamed/red. If you suffer from sensitive skin and/or rosacea as I do then you know what a major accomplishment that is. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that Tatcha was founded by a young woman who suffered from those very same issues and therefore made the entire line paraben- and chemical-free. (You can read more about the backstory here.) What I really love about the line it is that it takes a less-is-more approach to skincare. Not only are there fewer steps involved, but the ingredient list is a lot shorter than what you’ll find on most skincare products. Oh. And here’s a fun fact about Tatcha: the entire thing is based on the ancient skincare rituals of geishas. Sounds a little too mystical, right? Well, whatever. It works.
I’ve pretty much tried the entire line. (Thankfully, Tatcha offers travel-size versions of nearly every single product so I was able to test before committing.) I’ve loved every single product – but some especially so. Here, the three that have found a permanent spot in my beauty regimen.
- One-Step Camelia Cleansing Oil – If you try only one product from the line, let it be this one. It’s sort of life-changing. This is the product that actually began my obsession. I’m not going to lie: I was a bit hesitant to try this at first. I’m someone who needs to see actual foam and suds to feel like a cleanser is working. There is none of that with this oil. I gave it a try anyway and haven’t looked back since. I use it morning and night. I rub it on dry skin (this part feels amazing) followed by a quick rinse with warm water. Not only do I use it as a makeup remover (it seriously removes every last bit of makeup!), but it’s my cleanser, too. My skin is left feeling so soft, so clean and not irritated in the slightest. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself the travel size to test it out. Trust me: you’re going to love it.
- Luminous Dewy Skin Mist – Let’s be honest: the words “luminous” and “dewy” are pretty much all it takes to capture my attention. I’m happy to say that this products actually lives up to its name. All it takes is just two or three spritzes and my skin looks bright, light, and, yes, dewy. I use it all the time – whenever my skin just needs that extra something. It’s also amazing for freshening up skin post-travel.
- Camelia Beauty Oil – My favorite part about this oil is that it’s a master multitasker. I’ve used it on my face, body, and even in my hair as a way to combat frizzy strands. I apply it nightly as a last step in my skincare routine. Just a few drops is all it takes. It’s incredibly moisturizing, yet somehow feels light on my skin. In other words: I never feel like I’m going to bed with a greasy face. Oh. There’s also 24-karat gold flakes floating around in this stuff. I have absolutely no idea what that does to my skin (if anything?) but it definitely adds a fancy touch.
