HOW I DECORATE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

MADEGOODS Mirror // JACKSON DURHAM Wreath // AMY BERRY HOME Lamp // SKLO Glass Knot (similar here) // HUGO GUINESS Art // Vintage Console

One of the best parts about moving into a new home is figuring out how you’ll decorate it – especially when it comes to the holidays. This house has taken on a totally new look than my former in more ways than one and that includes the holiday decor. This year, I decided to opt for more traditional touches, but with a twist: enter the lemon wreath. As always, Jackson Durham totally nailed it with the design. Instead of the usual pine cones or red accents you see on garlands and wreaths, the lemons add something unexpected in terms of color and texture – not to mention, inject the holidays with an extra dose of happy.

I like to move slowly when it comes to decorating so rather than try to figure out how to deck the entire house in one for the holidays in one fell swoop, I’m taking baby steps. The lemons are a perfect start and have made me super excited to start thinking about what I’ll add next year and the year after that. Of course, I’ve had no trouble finding plenty of fab, festive things (hello to these) online – and bonus: a lot of it is on sale. Below, a quick hit list with all of the holiday happy I’m currently eyeing (and buying).

  1. The OKL holiday shop is so good this year. Just take a quick scroll and see for your self.
  2. These glass trees come in a set. I love the idea of making them a centerpiece on a kitchen table.
  3. I just ordered this dispenser. I’m going to add a strong cocktail and put it on the bar for a serve-yourself situation.
  4. For the gal who loves Wedgewood, a pair of these would be totally cool.
  5. Believe it or not: Crate and Barrel actually has a great assortment or ornaments.
  6. Festive barware is something I’m definitely lacking. I love this set of vintage coupes.
  7. If glass isn’t your thing, these bottle brush trees are a great option. (These rainbow ones are fun, too!)
  8. I absolutely adore these colorful fish ornaments.
  9. These mini-LED trees would be cute set at each place setting at a Christmas table.
  10. Love these beaded placemats. The perfect touch of holiday green!
