It’s like this every summer. May is perfect, June is fairly pleasant, and then July arrives with a massive heat wave that has all of us running for our A/Cs. I’ve lived here my entire life and for some reason, the triple digit temperatures still manage to shock me. (Although, I hear we’re not the only ones right now. The Big Apple is feeling the heat this week, too.) This kind of weather calls for the lightest, easiest-breeziest pieces in your closet. This Mara Hoffman dress does the trick. I normally don’t wear anything below my knee in July, but this dress is lightweight enough to handle the heat. It’s got the beginnings of a full skirt so it moves when I walk – not to mention, the lattice cut-out around the middle gives me that extra little breeze I need.
