How do you grocery shop? It’s more than likely that color plays a big role. According to this theory, 90% of grocery store shoppers make snap judgements (in 90 seconds or less) about products based solely on the color alone. They say yellow is the happiest color, while red triggers your appetite (no wonder I end up with so many apples and berries in my cart).

After coming across these gold candlestick holders for $10 at Target, I decided to do a little more perusing through the Nate Berkus collection. If you haven’t had a moment to look at the newest arrivals, I suggest you do so. Great stuff, even better prices. The first thing I purchased? This gold vase for $14. But I’m not stopping there. Other favorites: these picture frames ($11), a malachite-pattern tray ($30) that would make a perfect holiday hostess gift, and this leaf bowl.

If you’re following my Instagram then you know my Sundays are my cookie-baking days. This Sunday, it’s all about Christmas cookies. The only problem? Where do I begin? A red-and-green M&M cookie is a must but after that, the possibilities are endless. I’m going to take a cue from Martha Stewart and use this Christmas cookie guide as my inspiration.
