It’s been raining off and on since last night – and by the looks of things, it shows no sign of stopping any time soon. Normally, I love a few rainy days (any excuse to cozy up on the couch and continue my current Netflix binge of PLL, right?) but after enjoying nearly a week of 75-and-sunny, this rain is a little less welcome. Last weekend almost feels like a tease. It was everything I love about spring: warm (but not too warm), sunshine-filled days, driving with the windows down and enjoying all of our meals (including an early-morning Sunday breakfast of these) al fresco. In other words: perfect patio weather.
This brief taste of spring has done two things for me:
First, it gave me the incentive I needed to to start moving my heavy winter coats and chunky knits (this one stay outs though) to the back of my closet and replacing them with warm-weather favorites like tunics and breezy cotton tops.
Second, it’s put me in a major spring-shopping mode. Warm, sunshine-y weather makes buying things like my new fringe white denim and this off-the-shoulder top more fun. This little shift dress is the result of last week’s good weather. I scooped it up the second I saw it online (65% off!) and, lucky for me, it arrived just in time for me to wear on Saturday. I even went ahead and pulled out my favorite beach bag (I almost wish I had waited and ordered it in this color!) because I simply couldn’t wait. Spring: I’m so happy you’re (almost) officially here.
