I love braids. So much so, in fact, that I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to them. While there’s a million different styles of braids, it’s the fishtail that I’m particularly fond of lately. I love the carefree, effortless look of them. Whether they’re messy with lots of texture(my favorite) or super-clean and structured, they just look so cool. I must have a million images of them saved – there’s no shortage of inspiration! Here’s the thing: I don’t know how to fishtail. I haven’t a clue. I braid my hair all the time (usually when it’s wet so I can forgo the drier) but it’s just a regular, plain ol’ braid. Nothing special. I need to learn to fishtail. I can’t keep calling my little sister and asking her to come over and fishtail-braid my hair for the rest of my life (or can I?). It’s decided. I’ve got to learn to do it myself. And I will. This weekend. I know you all probably think I sound crazy but I’ve just never been that crafty or skilled when it came to makeup and hair. With the help of  this step-by-step tutorial I found on Tory Burch’s blog and maybe a few YouTube videos, surely I can manage it. Any other tips and tricks you all care to share?

In the meantime, I’ll just scroll through these photos for motivation.
