ganni bow heels

Before we head to Africa, we’ll be making a stop in one of my favorite cities in the world: London. I never turn down an opportunity to visit London and this time, I’m more excited than ever. We have a bunch of fun things planned – great meals, fun shops to visit, a couple of museum stops, and more. Since it’s just a three or four days, I was able to to get away with only small leather carry-on – which is kind of a miracle seeing as I waited until the last minute to pack. (Why do I always do that?) As for what’s packed in my suitcase, well, there’s something about London that makes me want to dress up more than I usually do when traveling. (Anyone else with me there?) So I went for a polished and put-together vibe for my looks. (Read: lots of dresses and no ripped jeans.) In addition to some of my existing favorites (these go-with-everything heels and a blazer from Blazé, to name just two), I also scooped up a few new things to throw in there, too. (As I mentioned, I waited until the last minute so I’m extra thankful that mytheresa.com offers such a quick turnaround for shipping. Everything arrived perfectly packaged and on time.) The first thing I ordered was this Ganni dress. It’s an easy style that will work with sandals during the day but can easily be dressed up for cocktails if I want. I also snatched up these Mansur Gavriel loafers that will make for a dressed up, but very comfortable walking flat. The best part about my pre-travel shopping spree is that I was able to score a number of goodies on big-time sale, including this cocktail dress, these cropped trousers, and, best of all, these satin mules I’ve been eyeing forever.
