Greetings from a winter(ish) wonderland in Texas! The temperatures have officially dropped into the 40s, making it totally appropriate (and necessary!) to bust out all the cozy things. While I never shy away from color (wearing a similar version of this coat today!), I also find that I’m especially drawn to a more neutral palette this time of year – think: white to beige and every shade in between. I just think it’s a palette that looks especially fresh this time of year. Sometimes I’ll opt for one hue head-to-toe (think: this + this + this), but what I really love about neutrals is how well they mix to create one look. For instance, I’ll top off a bright white look with my camel coat. While there’s plenty of way to mix and match neutrals, the lynchpin to the whole look is a great pair of winter-white pants. They act as the base for the look. If I’m after a dressier look, I’ll opt for a pair of ivory trousers like this Theory pair I just ordered. For everyday, though, I’m all about a pair of winter-white denim. If you haven’t already invested in a pair, I strongly recommend doing so. I alternate between two pairs from Khaite: these crop-flares and these skinnies. (Side note: I’m also a big fan of these cords from AG.)
