Just like I love seeing the names of nail polishes (Deborah Lippmann’s are always so much fun), I also appreciate seeing the names designers give various items in their collections. Sometimes the name seems so random and other times it’s totally on-point. This dress falls into the latter category. It’s called the “Annabel Dress.” A perfectly-girly name for a perfectly-girly dress, don’t you think?
While I don’t usually go for things that are as overtly girly as this one, this dress (also available in white) has become a fast favorite. The little details – ruffled straps, drop-waist, and scalloped edge – add such a sweet touch. It’s surprisingly versatile, too. It works as a cute pool coverup (I wore it over this almost-matching bikini last weekend), but it’s also just the thing to throw on with some fun earrings (try these) and a pair of sandals for a casual dinner out. Bonus: it’s super light, making it a perfect dress to wear in the summer heat.
