A FEW NEW ACTIVEWEAR (AND TENNIS!) FAVORITES

I’ve never really been one who stays in my gym clothes throughout the day. I like to get my gym time in early in the morning and follow it up with a quick shower and change into clothes for the day. However, the little-to-no access to a gym over the last few months has totally changed this. My exercise routine became a whenever-and-wherever kind of thing, and I found that being dressed like I was headed to a workout made it a lot more likely that I would actually do exactly that.

All that’s to say that there’s been plenty of extra time spent in leggings and tanks lately. I’ve invested in a few extras of my old favorites (forever loving these!), while also adding some new styles and brands into the mix. Here, a quick run-down of the new favorites.

Athleta Match Point Dress – I’m pretty sure I discovered this one via an Instagram ad. It clearly targeted the right person because I’ve ordered not just one, but two of these dresses for playing tennis. Note: they don’t come with shorts sewn in. I layer these underneath.

Addison Bay – I discovered this new-to-me line through a friend’s post on IG. (Where else, right?) It was her cute leggings that made me double-tap and led me to Addison Bay. The shop has a great mix of different activewear brands but it’s their in-house line that I’ve come to love the most. They make a great legging that is the perfect 7/8 length, and I love that they have tops to coordinate for matching sets. It’s also worth noting that they have super cute tennis skirt options.

Lululemon All Tied Up Tank – This is not a new style. It’s just the first time I’ve ventured to try it. It’s currently my new favorite tank. It’s super soft, lightweight, and I love the way it ties at the back.

Athleta Match Point Dress – I’m pretty sure I discovered this one via an Instagram ad. It clearly targeted the right person because I’ve ordered not just one, but two of these dresses for playing tennis. Note: they don’t come with shorts sewn in. I layer these underneath.

Lululemon Pace Rival Skirt – It never occurred to me to consider Lululemon a source for tennis skirts until just now. I bought this skirt while in Aspen and really love it. (Side note: I like it paired with this tank.) It’s easy to move in and super comfortable, on and off the court.

Nike AirMax 270 – I’ve mentioned here before that while I do try other sneakers for walking or cross-training workouts, I am very Nike-loyal when it comes to running shoes. In the past, I’ve always gone with the Pegasus (such a great shoe) but on a whim, I decided to try out the AirMax 270. Though they’re definitely more shoe than the Pegasus, they’re surprisingly lightweight and really comfortable. I love the extra cushion on the treadmill.
