11 PAIRS OF FABULOUS FLATS

GUCCI Mules

While we’re still a ways out from sandal-wearing weather, you’re probably growing weary of pulling on those heavy boots day after day. That’s what makes this the perfect time to shop for the next best thing: a fabulous pair of flats. Whether you’re looking for a great wear-with-everything neutral (these) or something a little fancier (these), this season has plenty of options from which to choose.

Since I wear flats just as much (and probably more) as I do heels, I like to keep a mix of different styles in my closet. When it comes to ballet flats, my Chanel pair is easily my most-worn. There’s nothing quite as classic – though a pair of Repetto’s is a close second. I also love (love!) the Hermione flat from Tabitha Simmons. I have these in two different colors. I consider them my most versatile in that I love to throw them on with a pair of jeans, but they’re also dressy enough for a cocktail party, too. Next up on the list of flat favorites is a tried-and-true loafer. Gucci is the clear winner here, but I also love the colorful classics from new-to-me brands like Taryn Rose (under $150!) and Bougeotte. For the ultimate throw-on-and-go pair, there’s nothing better than a mule. Le Monde Beryl has been a total game-changer for me. They’re comfortable and sturdy (read: they stay on your feet in the way some mules do not), and they’re a shoe that I can wear day or night. They also come in the most delicious range of color options. I also really love this pair from Aquazzura along with all of the mules (obsessed with these) from Malone Soulier. They’re a great option for a night on the town.

I’ve rounded up plenty of options for you to peruse. Scroll through below to shop the full edit.
