With today marking the official last day of summer, I’ve been thinking about those items that need to transition back into (and out of) my closet for the new season. While I’ll certainly retire my white denim shorts and a pair of gladiator sandals or two, a lot of things will stay exactly where they are and transition right into the fall and winter season. This skirt is one of those items. I’ve had it for over three years; and, no matter what season it is, this skirt consistently maintains a spot near the very front of my closet. In the summer, I’ll wear it with a white tee and sandals; and during the cooler months, I pair it with black opaque tights (these are my favorites) and a cozy sweater or my leather jacket. It adds that much needed pop of color to those dreary winter days. What items do you keep around all year long? I hope you all have a happy weekend!

I’m definitely a fan of the bright yellow Proenza Schouler skirt. The outfit here is perfect for the final summer days! I was about to suggest you add red to the outfit, and then you would be very artistic – like the primary colors! But… your nails are red
