First of all, I’m so glad to see that you all like this idea of wedding features on Wednesdays. I received such a great response a couple of weeks ago, so this is definitely something I’ll continue.
Today’s “Vows” is another one of my favorites (let’s be honest: all of the weddings I feature here will be my favorites). Model Jacquetta Wheeler and James Allsopp’s English countryside wedding is what I would describe as truly magical (note the white horse in the image below). The nuptials took place last summer at Chilham Castle, an estate which belongs to Wheeler’s family, in Kent. (It’s like a modern-day Downtown Abbey wedding!) The dress, you ask? It was a custom Alice Temperley gown made of chiffon and voile. The handmade veil, which required the work of ten embroiderers to create, was just as exquisite. After exchanging vows at the fifteenth-century church of St. Mary’s, the couple returned to the house for a Moroccan-themed dinner party followed by a long night of dancing. And to top it all of, guests enjoyed fireworks that were perfectly choreographed (!) to the beat of Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers.” Like I said: magical.
