Spicy Chocolate Bark with Chipotle & Almonds

If you follow along with me on Instagram then you already know that baking is one of my favorite hobbies. While it’s something I enjoy doing anytime of the year (I spend almost every Sunday afternoon trying out a different cookie recipe), a holiday gets me extra excited. With Valentine’s Day just two weeks away, I’ve been scouring the internet for the best recipes in lovey-dovey treats. I’ve found everything from simple sugar cookies to over-the-top conversation-heart cakes. I’ve managed to come up with a little list of all the treats I’d love to whip up for friends and family over the next couple of weeks – starting with these Peanut Butter Sweethearts. I made a batch of those yesterday. These are cookies for serious peanut-butter lovers. Using a Hershey’s variety pack of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and Reeses, I followed this recipe but added in a little extra vanilla and perhaps a touch more peanut butter. The result? Delicious – and they were a hit at last night’s family dinner, too.

Do you all have any Valentine favorites? If so, I’d love for you to share them with me. But if you’re in need of a little Cupid-filled baking inspiration then you’ve come to the right spot…
