As summer slowly but surely comes to an (unofficial) end, my brain is already thinking ahead to fall. The new season brings with it a social calendar full of happy hours, dinner parties, and black-tie affairs. As far as the latter, I’m dreaming about this showstopper of a dress from Carolina Herrera. (Note: emphasis on the word “dreaming” as that’s as close as my pregnant self will come to fitting into this dress.) I’ve been thinking about this dress ever since I saw it come down the runway earlier this year. It’s everything and more: dramatic, unexpected, and over-the-top glamorous. Pair it with simple accessories – or do what I would do and take the look just one step further (why not?) and finish it off with one of Olympia Le-Tan’s statement-making handbags. Black-tie Barbie? Yes, please!
