One of the best parts about being engaged is getting to celebrate with your friends and family. This past Saturday, I got to do just that. My friend Lauren and her mom were sweet enough to throw a wedding a shower for me. It was too. much. fun. The afternoon was full of all of my favorite things. The shower was held at my favorite lunch spot in Dallas, Forty Five Ten’s T Room, and the tables were decorated with stripes (you know how much I love those!) and pink peonies, my bloom of choice. We sipped champagne and munched on “Brian’s Bowl” salads followed by – are you ready for this? – M&M milkshakes and chocolate chip cookies. How can you beat that? There’s nothing I like more than a Dairy Queen M&M blizzard and I couldn’t believe it when they brought me a pink (they used Valentine’s M&M’s…how clever!) version of just that.
One of my favorite parts was the adorable MASH games that were placed on each table. Everyone played a mini-MASH game that was personalized to my fiancé and me. (On another note: It was hilarious to watch the grown-ups attempt MASH. They had not a clue what was going on. I feel like I played it all the time as a kid. It must just be a thing of my generation.) This day will certainly go down as one of the best yet. I’m so glad I brought along my camera (and thanks so much to Molly for taking over photography duty here) so I’m able to share some of these fun moments with you.
