While I’ve never been one to quickly jump on the bandwagon with flash-in-the-pan trends, this season there’s one I can totally get on board with: platform sandals. Simple with an architectural edge, these sandals are kind of the best thing to happen to my spring wardrobe.
Here’s the thing: this time of year, you’ll rarely see me in a pair of heels. Ok. I might pull out a block heel every now and then and I keep this pair of strappys out for a Saturday night wedding, but for the most part, my spring and summer soles consist of flat sandals (obsessed with these right now!) or slip-on espadrilles. The one exception lately? These platform sandals from Topshop. These chunky espadrilles are my new daytime/nighttime/all-the-time favorite. They’ve managed to work their way into so many looks lately. They’ve dressed up distressed denim and lent some much-needed edge to a girly sundress. Plus they’re ridiculously comfortable. Oh. And they’re under $100. It doesn’t get much better than that.
