The saying must be true: April showers really do bring May flowers. This past weekend was proof. After nearly two weeks of off-and-on rain (which, by the way, is really not fun with Lucy), we experienced one of the most beautiful weekends we’ve seen yet this spring: 80 degrees and not a cloud in sight. I did my very best to spend every moment I could outside: a Friday dinner date on the patio, an (early) birthday lunch al fresco with girls at one of my favorite restaurants, and, of course, plenty of play time with Lucy.
This California-like weather meant I could finally pull out this little eyelet dress I’ve been dying to wear. These are the kinds of dresses I live in all summer long (love this one, too!). With the Texas heat on its way, white cotton dresses prove to be an option that keeps things both cute and cool (I’m talking temperature here). This eyelet, however, has a subtle difference: a “Oui Non” embroidery. The words aren’t totally obvious at first glance. You have to get close to make them out. It’s like the dress has its own secret little message. Leave it to Kenzo to take a simple cotton dress and turn it into something fab.
