This is it: what I like to call my everyday “uniform.” It’s simple, no-frills, and, most importantly, it’s easy. As much as I like to play around with different looks and trends, I usually save all of that for the evenings or weekends. During the week, I’m work-focused. It’s all about crossing things off the to-do list and having a go-to look saves me numerous hours of wasted time standing in front of my closet wondering, “What am I going to wear today?”
While my uniform changes slightly with seasons (my short-sleeve tee might change to a turtleneck, a coat gets added), it pretty much relies on the same core pieces year-round: a blazer, some sort of t-shirt (usually black, white, grey, or striped), and a pair of jeans (right now I’m loving this high-waisted pair from The Great) or, if I need something a little dressier, a pair of leather pants or cropped trousers. When it comes to the shoes, it really depends on what I have going on that day: super busy days with lots of running around mean a sneaker or a ballet flat, otherwise I opt for a classic pump. Like I said, no-frills. It’s about classic pieces that I feel good in and make life just a little bit easier, too.
