It was a very sad day when my parents informed my sister and me that they would be selling our house. It’s hard to say goodbye to the home your grew up in… I’m sure some of you can relate? However, with this move came a brand new house, and you know what that means… a design project! It was a clean slate. My old bedroom hadn’t changed one bit since high school (lilac walls, homecoming mums, a Britney Spears poster, you get the idea), so this was an opportunity for a more “grown up” room. Plus, this gave me a chance to work with my favorite Dallas design duo Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry of Pulp Design Studios. They created the most beautiful space! It’s polished enough to be a guest room for visitors, but the details (bright orange accents, hello!) make it feel like me. Take a look at their blog for a peek into both my room and my sister’s.
