As I sit here and type this post, it’s dreary, dark and a windchill of 18 degrees outside. But it wasn’t like that 48 hours ago. On Friday, it was blissfully warm and sunny. Another day like this one: a perfect sunshine-filled day that makes you (almost) believe that spring might just be here to stay. I took advantage of the warm weather by keeping my layers light: a Madewell sweatshirt (I wear this thing almost everyday) topped off by a jacket I scored on sale at H&M. The print on the jacket (it reminds me of an Isbael Marant print) is bold enough that I really don’t need much else, just a necklace and my favorite pair of spotted flats that I consider a neutral anyway.
That was then. Now, I’m bundled up in a warmest wool coat, a turtleneck sweater, and my flats have been swapped out for a different pair of Loeffler Randall – these leather boots. Crossing my fingers that another spring-break like day pops up again this week.
