If I made a list of my least favorite colors, burgundy (bordeuax, maroon, port, whatever you want to call it!) would be near the very top of it. It’s just not my color, you know what I mean? It has never looked good on me (various shades of red usually don’t). However, this image from Candice Lake just might have me rethinking my stance on the color. She looks so chic! I’m all about tonal dressing this fall, and, I have to admit, head-to-toe burgundy isn’t looking so bad. I actually like it. I am making it a vow to get out of my color rut and make a solid attempt at burgundy  this season. What do you think? Are there any colors out of your norm that you might be willing to try for fall?

  1. I was just having a conversation about burgundy with my sister earlier this week. I am on the same page as you. Burgundy/maroon/port/whatever-you-want-to-call-it has never been my favorite and I’m fairly certain that in years past I’ve said I hate it. But this fall burgundy strikes me as kind of fresh and so I’m willing to give it another shot. I plan to take baby stesnaking burgundy nail polish and hopefully eventually get a hot pair of cropped pants.

  2. Love this feature! I saw this picture on Pinterest and fell in love with the head-to-toe look! I am a big fan of burgundy for fall, but there are certainly colors I have to stay away from! I am loving mustard yellow for fall, but have been weary of it because of my fair skin. I think with the right contrasting colors and accents, you can pull off any color!

  3. Burgundy isn’t my go to color either. However, I am starting to think the color has an almost regal quality. I think it would look stunning on you! I will be on the lookout for a pop of burgundy I can add to my wardrobe!
    Happy everything!

  5. I never really thought much about the color burgundy but this fall I just love it. I bought two pieces of clothes in burgundy, a bag and a shirt, and I can’t wait to wear them.
