GIVEAWAY: GRAY MALIN PRADA MARFA PHOTOGRAPH

By now you all know how much I adore the photography of Gray Malin. This photographer is one to watch. He is incredibly talented and has such a creative eye (not to mention, he and I have been friends since our preschool carpool days!). While I adore his entire collection, his Prada Marfa series is my very favorite. I have two of my own having in my apartment. They’re the a great addition to my little bar – the perfect photographs to mix a cocktail underneath. In fact, when Gray was in town last week, that’s exactly what we did. Inspired by his “Mule” photograph, we concocted our “Prada Marfa Mule” cocktail (our own spin on the Moscow Mule). Delicious, to say the least. We documented the entire process with a little video of our day; so you, too, can make your own Marfa Mule!

Now, for the best part. Gray has offered to give a signed 12 x 18 Prada Marfa print to one lucky Luella & June reader! How’s that for a Monday morning giveaway? The only question is, which print one to choose? Follow these steps to enter the giveaway:

  49. Ever since I visited Marfa and the Prada installation a few months ago, I have been dying to have one of Gray’s photographs to hang in my apartment. Especially now that I relocated from TX to NYC, I would probably choose the two cowboys or the dawn photograph to remind me of TX.

My favorite is the one of the cowboy looking into the store while holding the mule or the black and white one of the model standing on the right hand side of the photo holding the bags… You don’t see her face.     Thank you so very much for this giveaway Bradley! I can't go on and on enough about how fabulous the Prada Marfa store is. Even though I lived in Texas most of my life, I didn't hear about the store until after I had moved away. One day, I hope to be able to visit the location in person and possibly take a few cheesy shots in front of it! Until then, I would love to have one of Mr. Malin's photos hanging in my house (I'm getting giddy just thinking about it). It would be amazing to have either the Dawn or the Sale Sign (With Clothes). Both are just too cool for words!
