GET THE LOOK: MIXED PRINTS

While I love a head-to-toe black (or white) look, I’m also a big fan of bold prints – especially in the summer. It’s easy to pair a vibrant print with a solid (think: these pants with this top), but mixing two (or more) prints can be a bit more tricky. I’ve found the best way to approach the mix-and-match look is to pair your boldest print with something more simple. My go-to here is almost always stripes.  They work as a neutral, providing the perfect opportunity to be mixed with a bolder, splashier print. (Leopard works in much the same way.) I usually opt for this tee or a button-down shirt. Blue and white (or black and white) is, of course, one that works with every thing, but a colored stripe works too if there’s a complementary color in your pairing.
