BAUBLE BAR PEARL EARRINGS // JOSEPH COAT // FRAME DENIM SKINNY JEANS // ALEXANDER WANG BAG // ISABEL MARANT FLATS

When it comes to classics, nothing quite beats the look of all black paired with a camel coat. It’s easy, chic and timeless. Each piece in this look is a closet staple – each one will be worn with a million different things for years and years to come. While I think that’s reason enough to go ahead and splurge on these kinds of things because it’s a good investment, you certainly don’t have to. Perusing around to pull similar items for this look led me to quite a few options work just as well but don’t break the bank. (The current sales here and here are especially helpful.)

Skinny denim? I swear by this pair from Frame, but if you’re looking for something that’s slightly less expensive, check out these or these (under $100).  For the best in cozy knits, you can’t go wrong with J.Crew’s cashmere tees. They’re warm without being heavy and they’re the best layering piece. And they last. I promise. In other words: worth every pretty penny. A less expensive option that’s still on par with quality would be J.Crew’s Tippi sweater. I love the tailoring of this camel coat but for those of you hunting for something that’s less of a splurge, you’ll be happy to know that there are plenty of options. This one and this one both fall in under $150 range, and then there’s also this option for $72.
