As the spring issues begin to hit the stands, so do the all of the new ad campaigns for the season. First up: Chanel. Lagerfeld chose to steer away from the barnyard theme we saw at Chanel’s Spring/Summer show back in September, and instead opted for a little Latin flair for the fashion house’s spring 2010 ad campaign. Shot in Buenos Aires, Aregentina by Karl Lagerfeld himself, the campaign features Claudia Schiffer, Danish model Freja Beha Erichsen and Lagerfeld-favorite Baptiste Giabiconi. Schiffer works it in head-to-toe Chanel, including an embellished black flared skirt dress with black chiffon detail at the neckline. The ad also features Chanel’s classic boucle jackets in creamy shades of white paired with sheer stockings with lace-up detail (sure to be a must-have this season). It looks like abandoning the hay bales for haciendas was a smart choice for our favorite Parisian fashion house – and proof that you really can take Chanel anywhere.
