Patti Smith's memoir is one I've wanted to read for years. It's the story of her friendship with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. It's a tale of friendship, love, and most of all, art. I've heard that this book is truly one-of-a-kind and I can't wait to dig in.

A married couple decides to split up and immediately after, the husband goes missing in Greece. The wife reluctantly heads across the ocean to go look for him - and ends up finding a lot more than what she expected. It's not exactly a heart-warming tale about marriage, but an honest one.

This book is a lot of fun to read. After quitting his job at The New Yorker, the writer follows his dream to the most unlikely of places: the kitchen of Babbo. It's a detailed account of his journey to becoming a chef - not to mention, it also provides a rich history lesson in Italian food.
