BOOK IT: SUMMER READING

Next week marks the official beginning of summer – though if you’re judging by these scorching Texas temperatures then it’s been summer for quite sometime! This also means I’m officially starting my summer reading. I love to read but somehow between work and the blog (and Gossip Girl on Monday nights) I haven’t been able to squeeze it in as much as I would like. But not anymore! I just finished Something Blue (if you liked Something Borrowed then you’ll love this sequel), and next on the list is The Help. I’ve made a working list and below is what I’ve come up with so far. Do you all have any books on your to-read list? I would love to get any suggestions!

  1. The Help is great and I've been dying to read Little Bee – but same, no time. Hopefully this summer when I can find some time to lay by the pool. Happy weekend!

  2. I did not like Little Bee- the last half of the book started to annoy me. It was a quick read though and a lot of people have liked it, so I'd be interested to see what you think after you read it!

  3. The Help was a GREAT read. Did you know they are coming out with a movie for it too? Something Borrowed/Something Blue are good reads. Have you read any other Emily Giffin books?

Ill have to check out The Girl Who Played With Fire… I have heard of the dragon tattoo one. Are these sequels or no?

  4. I read the girl who played with fire and I liked it as well as the other stieg larsson books. The help is on my actual “to read” list :)
    xoxo

  5. The Help is a must. I think it was written about my generation for your generation simply because you wouldn't believe this could and did happen. Remind me to tell you a “granny” story the opposite of The Help.
