A TEXAS TRAY

No matter what room in my home you’re in, there’s one thing you can always find: a catchall tray. In fact, you can probably find more than one. I don’t really think of myself as a collector of these trays but the number I seem to have amassed might say otherwise. There’s several reasons I love these catchalls so much: they make my messy piles (where else do you put loose change?) look special, they’re easy storage, and they’re pretty to look at.

Speaking of my pretty, my latest favorite catchall is definitely easy on the eyes. It’s one of the pieces from Biscuit Home‘s collaboration with Texas artist Mary H. Case. Case’s work is new to me and I’m so glad I know about it. I love how her work is soft, yet there’s hardness there, too. There’s a masculinity to it without being overtly heavy. Of course, I also love the Texas bend. The Biscuit collection not only includes this limited edition tray (which would make perfect gifts, by the way), but you can also find exclusive giclée prints. This little longhorn tray is just the right touch of Texas for my guest room (who knew lilac and brown looked so good together?) – not to mention, the perfect addition to my catchall collection.
