A PASSION FOR PILOTTO

PETER PILOTTO DRESS

PETER PILOTTO DRESS

It’s no secret that I love big, bright color. I’ve never been one to shy away from even the brightest hues (case in point: I just bought this dress in neon orange), and I think they’re made all the better when they take place in an equally bold pattern. Just as there are certain artists I gravitate to (the acrylic enamel piece by John Holt Smith you see in the background here is one of my very favorites hanging in my house) for their use of color, there are also designers that I consider my go-to’s when it comes to pattern play. The first one that comes to mind is Peter Pilotto. He really goes for it with color and his prints are always out-of-this-world amazing. His designs actually remind me of a more modern, edgier Emilio Pucci. (Check out this dress from his latest collection!) I have exactly two Peter Pilotto pieces: both are dresses (the one you see here and this one) and both I found on sale. I feel like I’m wearing a work of art every single time I put one on. Pilotto’s designs are definitely investments but if you keep your eyes peeled you can usually score one on sale (this one and this one), or browse the selection on The Outnet.

Scroll through the selection below for some of my favorite Peter Pilotto pieces…
